Rainmakers become Rainbakers!

At Rainmakers we never turn down a challenge. So, when our social team suggested that we had a Bake-off to support Evelina London Children’s Charity, which provides care and support for children who are ill, we of course, said YES! And thus, the Rainbakers were born!

When it came down to it, we had a lot of baking, even more tasting, and some very hard decisions made whilst judging.

At the end of the day, the one and only Chris Tough won the Rainbakers Bake-off with his delicious fennel-flavoured sausage plait including his own home-made wholemeal puff pastry; what more could we possibly ask for?! Although Chris was crowned winner of the Bake-off, we all know in our hearts that the real winner was in fact, Evelina London Children’s Charity.

Evelina London provides outstanding health service to children with some of the most critical illnesses while keeping a humane approach to care for the whole family during the most difficult times.

In total the Rainbakers team managed to a raise a massive £385 for Evelina London. But we wanted to give a little more, so as Rainmakers we matched this amazing contribution pound for pound, giving a grand total of £770 to the charity which helped one of our Rainmakers during a difficult time.

“We lived the scariest days of our lives but it was a relief to know that thanks to Evalina London our child couldn’t have been in better hands.”

This is the first, but certainly not the last, of many bake-offs in aid of charities close to the heart of Rainmakers.
